Meet Arlene Quinn
From humble beginnings in rural Lanark, Ontario and the middle of three children, Arlene found her voice at the age of five when she received her first guitar as a Christmas gift. Arlene began writing her own songs at the age of eleven and as a teenager began touring with her own band Arlene Quinn and Ramblin' Rose. At the age of 18, Arlene was one of Ottawa Valleys highly sought after and most established female vocalists which gave her the honor of opening shows for Grand Ole Opry stars Johnny Duncan, Stonewall Jackson, Charlie Walker, Tommy Cash, and whispering Bill Anderson throughout Ontario and Quebec. After receiving great advice and support from her Grand Ole Opry heroes she committed to a full time career as a recording and performing artist.
After opening a show for Bobby Helms (My Special Angel) in Cornwall, Ontario she gained the attention of a management team who would develop her artistry to another level. Arlene’s quest to improve her craft led her to work with sought after Nashville vocal coach Robin Wiley (Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears) and Canadian Colleen Peterson. After polishing her songwriting skills and vocals Arlene went on to win several regional song writing and singing competitions. This was a precursor of the success to follow.
Recognition and accolades from these competitions gave Arlene the opportunity to open shows for many American and Canadian country music stars. Arlene has shared the stage with Lorrie Morgan, Terri Clark, Kenny Rogers, Loretta Lynn, Kitty Wells, Faron Young, Jeannie Seeley, Tammy Wynette, as well as Patricia Conroy, Dallas Harms, Anita Perras, Family Brown, Blue Rodeo, Carol Baker, Colleen Peterson, and Gordie Tapp.
This gave Arlene the confidence to hit the studio to record her debut cd entitled ‘NO DOUBT”. Her title track and debut single received extensive airplay across Canada and Europe. It was at this time that Arlene’s music career came crashing down around her as she was stricken with chronic pain and fatigue. She was forced to take time off from her music career to tend to her health. It was her love of music and songwriting that got her through this time in her life. After three years of tests and searching for answers she was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia. She has found ways of dealing with this auto immune disease and even though she struggles with it she chooses not to let it define her or hold her back from her dreams. She continues to inspire many others to do the same through awareness and fighting back.
Fast forward to August 2015, Arlene reentered the country music world with her brand new single entitled “NO WHERE TO GO BUT UP”. NOWHERE TO GO BUT UP is heard on radio stations around the world! Arlene was named Music Road Radios #1 artist in 2016 for holding the #1 spot for 12 weeks in a row! Arlene was also nominated for four WOBA awards being held during CMA week in Nashville Tennesse. Working with the finest musicians and songwriters from Nashville Arlene released her next single entitled LIFE IS GOOD in September 2016 and it can be heard on radio in 12 countries around the world.
Arlene has been spending her time writing in Nashville with hit songwriters in 2017 and will be releasing a brand new single and EP in early 2018! Watch for it!
